All defence and veteran spouses are invited to take some “me time” with a free event delivered by the ‘Our Space’ program by AWWNSW.

Are you a Defence or Veteran spouse in Sydney? Dealing with new postings, holding the fort while your partner is deployed or simply in need of some you time? 

Come to the next Our Space event for a great opportunity to meet other defence and veteran spouses, share tips and experience in a relaxing environment.

The event will start with a guided peer support discussion, facilitated by AWWNSW Social Work Manager, Lisa Stephenson, an experienced group facilitator who will create a safe space for spouses to provide support to their peers, sharing knowledge, experience and connection opportunities.

Attendees can share as much or as little as they are comfortable, with opportunities to discuss some of the common challenges associated with their connection the ADF service.

The discussion will conclude with a sound healing session, hosted by UNSW approved music tutor and certified yoga instructor Bianca Teremi from the Heart and Soul Yoga studio in Cronulla. Attendees will hear a variety of calming sounds, including crystal singing bowls, promoting wellness and relaxation.

The event will conclude with a light lunch where attendees can continue connecting with their peers.
